Why travelers stop here
A park along the Han River near the Goyang Human Resources Development Center, created in 2000 with the establishment of the center. This wide-open space, like a playground, offers views of the Han River from a large lawn where visitors can sit and relax. In 2016, an observatory was installed, and a path was built to the Han River white sand beach. At the site of a former military post, there is a waterside space (Bballatdolmeori) for viewing the Han River and migratory birds, a military post observatory (Haengjeongjeong), a barbed wire photo zone, and a windmill hill. Free car camping is available in the parking lot, attracting many visitors to see the night view of the Han River. The 18.2km course from Daedeok Ecological Park to Haengjusanseong History Park to Military Patrol Road to Janghang Wetland has been designated as one of the Top 10 Ecological Theme Tours. Various festivals and events are held here, serving as a leisure space for citizens. Part of the park is on the Haengjusanseong Nurigil course, a circular path around Haengjusanseong Fortress. The circular route has the same start and end point, and the entrance has many stairs, which may be somewhat challenging, but after about 10 minutes, you can see an octagonal pavilion, as well as Jingangjeong, Chungeuijeong, Deokyangjeong, and the Haengju Victory Monument. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to leisurely explore. Additionally, Banghwa Bridge to the left of the history park is a sunset spot, drawing many people at dusk. It is a place to experience nature and learn history along the beautiful Han River.
