Why travelers stop here
Anseong Incheogol Village is a small rural village nestled against Seounsan Mountain, the southernmost point of Gyeonggi Province. It is said that a sage once descended here and named the village 'Incheogol' by adding the character 'in' (meaning virtuous), predicting that many virtuous people would emerge from this place. The village features scenic views of persimmon orchards and a medicinal spring from the site where a queen of the Samhan period buried her placenta. It was also called 'Gamgol' (Persimmon Village) because every house had a persimmon tree. In 1901, Father Montbert from France planted grape seedlings in the front yard of Anseong Cathedral, making Seoun-myeon, where Incheogol is located, the main production area of Anseong grapes. Among them, Incheogol Village becomes bustling every autumn with seedless Kyoho and Shine Muscat harvesting experiences. In addition to the experience center, the village offers various attractions and resting spaces such as a lotus pond, a medicinal spring, and a plant tunnel. In Incheogol Village, you can enjoy unique rural experiences by season. The available activities vary throughout the year. In the spring program, you can enjoy picking Seolhyang strawberries, making strawberry macarons, and making mugwort rice cake cake. In the summer program, you can dig potatoes and pick plums. In the fall program, you can pick Kyoho grapes, make grape gochujang, and dig sweet potatoes. Finally, in the winter program, you can make strawberry soap and lemon cheong. Additionally, there is a four-season rail sled that children can enjoy all year round. Address: 24-11, Incheodong-gil, Seoun-myeon, Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do
