경기도 안산시 상록구 수암동 산 5-1

Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Suam-bong (Surisan) is a representative mountain of Gyeonggi Province, spanning four cities: Ansan, Gunpo, Anyang, and Siheung. Originally called 'Doksuri-bong' (Eagle Peak) because it resembled an eagle, it was renamed 'Suam-bong' in the late Joseon Dynasty due to its beautiful peak. Most of Suam-bong (Surisan) is covered with a thin soil layer, with exposed rocks at the summit forming steep cliffs, and some valleys feature rock streams. At an elevation of 398 meters, various climbing courses have been developed, and from the summit, one can enjoy a panoramic view not only of Ansan but also of Siheung. Pavilions, benches, and sports facilities are installed throughout the area.
