Why travelers stop here
Located in Jung-dong, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon-si, this is a neighborhood No. 1 park adjacent to City Hall. It features a large pond and fountain in the center, offering excellent surrounding scenery, and is a poetry monument park with monuments for Byeon Yeong-ro and Hwang Myeong (Bok-dong). Additionally, it has the Bucheon City Symbol Tower, gateball courts, and other facilities for sports and leisure, and is characterized as an arboretum with many old trees. At the very center stands the uniquely shaped Bucheon City Symbol Tower, surrounded by a plaza-like space where temporary stages are set up for performances. On the western side of Central Park, there is a Peach Memorial Garden, where peach trees donated by Okayama City, known as a famous peach-producing region in Japan, are planted. While the western side of Central Park is themed around trees and grass, the eastern side is themed around water. Various peculiar water channels, a rural stream with stepping stones, a large fountain, and an artificial island floating alone in the middle of an artificial pond guide visitors into a world of water. Every summer, an outdoor water playground is opened free of charge.
