Why travelers stop here
Hwangeumsan Culture Park is a hidden park and natural recreation forest in the city center, located at the entrance of the Hwangeumsan hiking trail (128.6m above sea level). Starting from Hwanggeol Yaksutae (mineral spring), it consists of a total of 17 special points including a parking lot, forest walking paths, a forest experience center, and an ecological pond. The well-landscaped grassy lawn and tree-deck walking paths are suitable for people of all ages. This park is connected to six hiking courses along Hwangeumsan, each taking about 40 minutes to 1 hour round trip. The gentle slopes make it ideal for a light stroll, and from the summit of Hwangeumsan, you can see as far as Olympic Bridge and Lotte Tower in the distance. The Children's Forest Experience Center located at the entrance of Hwangeumsan Culture Park offers various programs for local childcare facilities and family visitors. As the number of visitors increases each year, there have been continuous requests to expand the experience center space, and the city has decided to create a forest experience space where people of all ages can heal together.
