Geolpo Central Park

Located in Geolpo-dong, Gimpo-si, Geolpo Central Park is a representative resting park in Gimpo-si, created in 2006 under the theme of a cultural park containing the history and future of Gimpo. Spanning over 150,000㎡, it is planted with 70,000 trees including pine and spirea. Along the straight central path, themed walking trails, flower beds, and gardens are arranged under the themes of Flower Light Place, Water Light Place, and Starlight Place. In summer, the central Water Light Fountain Square operates as a floor fountain playground, and the Galaxy Forest Waterfall operates as a water play area, loved by family visitors. The water depth reaches the ankles, allowing children to play safely. Near the Galaxy Forest Spring, there are wooden platforms where shade screens can be installed, and one platform can be used per family. Cooking and camping are prohibited, and it is only available during the day. Additionally, there are facilities for badminton, foot volleyball, basketball, volleyball, a multi-purpose futsal field, and an archery field for archery experience. In particular, the soccer field is covered with artificial turf, allowing safe soccer play in all seasons. The bicycle path along the Gyeyangcheon Stream and the beautiful flower beds and gardens throughout the park make it an ideal place for walks, like an oasis in the city.
