Cheongpyeong Lakeside

Cheongpyeong Lake is an artificial lake created by the construction of Cheongpyeong Dam, which blocked the Bukhangang River. Not only is the scenery created by the surrounding mountains and the clear waters of the lake very beautiful, but it is also only 50km away from Seoul, so it began to develop as a day-trip tourist destination. Cheongpyeong Lakeside refers to the area around Cheongpyeong Lake, named for the beauty of Cheongpyeong Lake and the surrounding mountain scenery, and is one of the Eight Views of Gapyeong. Near the lake, various types of accommodations and leisure facilities are lined up, making it convenient to enjoy the different aspects of all four seasons. The Cheongpyeong Lake Trail is a deck path built by installing steel pillars on the rocky cliffs of Uleopsan Mountain, allowing travelers to walk while admiring the rocky mountains and the scenery of Cheongpyeong Lakeside. You can feel both beauty and thrill from the sight of Cheongpyeong Lakeside amidst the towering rocks and the open Bukhangang River landscape. As a lesser-known hidden gem, it boasts even more beautiful scenery when visited on a sunny day, and it is also a good trekking course as part of the Seonsunbong Circular Trail.
