Why travelers stop here
Gunpo's Royal Azalea Hill is an artificially created azalea complex on a small hill connected to the Surisan hiking trail. Approximately 150,000 azalea plants, including varieties such as Jasinhong, Yeongsanhong, Sancheoljuk, and Baekcheoljuk, fill the 20,000㎡ hill. When the azaleas are in full bloom from late April to early May, various cultural events such as music performances, exhibitions, and experiential activities are held in conjunction with Yangji Park, and it has also been featured on broadcast programs. Royal Azalea Hill is considered one of the Eight Scenic Views of Gunpo, offering a spectacular sight. An outdoor stage and fountain are installed, serving as a resting area for citizens.
