Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
This valley is located along Cheonjinam-ro in Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, known as the birthplace of Korean Catholicism. The water flows at knee height, but there are deeper spots in some areas, so supervision is needed when accompanied by children. Surrounded by rocks and mountains, it offers cool water play even in midsummer, and there are many restaurants and cafes along the valley. There are hiking trails connecting Aengja Mountain, Mugap Mountain, and Gwan Mountain. Parking is available for free at the Gwan Mountain trail public parking lot (search for Usan 5-gyo), but if full, parking is allowed on the roadside across from the lot.
