Why travelers stop here
'Neumnae' means 'land that stretches out' from the Goguryeo period. Siheung, home to Gyeonggi Province's only inner bay tidal flat, offers an excellent environment for walking. Neumnae-gil, where beautiful scenery and pleasant walking paths harmonize, is a trail discovered to minimize artificial elements and allow visitors to experience nature as it is. Neumnae-gil consists of a total of 6 courses. Among them, Course 1, the Forest Trail, starts at the main gate of Siheung City Hall and passes through Oknyeobong~Jakgogae~Sasaeui Forest~Mannamui Forest~Jindeoksa Entrance~Jindeoksa~Garaeul Village~Syatigol~Neunggokseonsa Historic Park before returning to Siheung City Hall. The total length is 13 km, and the estimated time is 4 to 5 hours. Course 1, the Forest Trail, which crosses low but harmoniously wooded mountain peaks, allows visitors to experience forest bathing and the changes of the four seasons with all five senses. The path continues while offering views of diverse plants and natural villages, and it is also a trail where you can share hidden local historical stories along with cultural heritage sites. The Forest Trail is a place where you can enjoy the passion to move forward without tiring, the aesthetics of slowness, and the leisure to take a break.
