Kimdaljin Museum of Art Materials

The Kimdaljin Museum of Art Materials opened in March 2008 as Korea's first specialized museum of art materials, collecting, classifying, preserving, researching, and exhibiting records and materials of great historical value among the materials collected by Director Kim Dal-jin, who publishes 'Seoul Art Guide,' over 40 years. It aims to efficiently manage art materials, which are the most basic work of artistic creation and academic research, and further to open exhibitions centered on researched materials to introduce them and practice the role of a professional archive that anyone can share. It also takes the lead in spreading awareness that valuable materials can be transformed into public cultural heritage through art material collection campaigns.
