Dongsanbang Gallery

Dongsanbang Gallery is a gallery that hosts exhibitions spanning from traditional painting to contemporary art. Since its opening, it has played a pivotal role in Korean galleries through exhibitions that connect traditional Korean aesthetics with modern art and contemporary art reflecting the values of the times. It also plans exhibitions to introduce works by major modern and contemporary artists and to promote talented new young artists, while also introducing Asian art, including Chinese art. The gallery primarily holds exhibitions and permanent displays focused on Korean painting, and also hosts permanent exhibitions of Western painting, Eastern painting, sculpture, prints, and Korean and Chinese woodblock prints. Additionally, it organizes exhibitions to introduce capable artists with new and creative artistic worlds and plans young artist exhibitions to discover promising next-generation emerging artists. As a first-generation gallery in the Korean gallery scene, it maintains close relationships with master, established, and mid-career artists.
