Ok Kalguksu

Ok Kalguksu is a popular kalguksu (noodle soup) restaurant located in Seolmun-dong, Ilsandong-gu, Goyang-si. There is ample parking space in front of the restaurant. The interior consists of both standing and seated tables. Before the kalguksu is served, barley rice and kimchi are brought out first. The clams in the clam kalguksu are well-desanded, and the noodles are plump and chewy. The noodles contain cheonnyeoncho (Opuntia humifusa), giving them a greenish tint, and they are thick and curly. The red bean kalguksu is not sweet, smooth, and thick. Sugar is provided on the table so you can adjust the sweetness to your taste. The signature menu item, perilla seed kalguksu, is generously topped with savory perilla seed powder, making the broth thick and flavorful.
