Why travelers stop here
Sohoson Kalguksu is a kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) and kaljebi (hand-torn noodle soup) restaurant in Dongtan, Hwaseong. Each table has a jar of geotjeori (fresh kimchi) to enjoy alongside the kalguksu or kaljebi. The hand-torn noodles, made directly by the owner, are chewy, and the restaurant generously uses clams, making it a place where you have to wait in line to eat. Visitors who find it bothersome to shell the clams can also enjoy myeolchi (anchovy) kalguksu or myeolchi kaljebi. As it is located on the Sinlicheon Cafe Street, parking must be done on the roadside in front of the restaurant.
