Sungkyunkwan University Humanities and Social Sciences Campus Museum

Located on the first basement floor of the 600th Anniversary Memorial Hall at Sungkyunkwan University, the Sungkyunkwan University Museum houses and displays valuable artifacts inherited from our ancestors over thousands of years. The exhibition hall is largely divided into a permanent exhibition hall and a special exhibition hall. The permanent exhibition hall is a space where visitors can vividly experience Confucian culture, while the special exhibition hall researches, organizes, and presents precious materials held exclusively by the Sungkyunkwan University Museum.

Centered on artifacts that allow observation of the overall Confucian culture of the Joseon Dynasty, the museum displays various cultural artworks and daily items such as ceramics, calligraphy, paintings, books, documents, stationery, musical instruments, clothing, accessories, and furniture, all imbued with the spirit and traces of the sages. Special exhibitions are also held annually, featuring rare materials such as <100 Masterpieces of Ceramics>, <Confucius' Achievements>, <The Daily Life of a Yangban Seen Through Artifacts>, <Glass Plate Negatives from the Japanese Colonial Period>, and <Lost Time, Colonial >.
