Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Convergence Science Education Center Southern Branch

The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Convergence Science Education Center serves as the center of science education in Seoul, enhancing students' interest and curiosity in science through scientific inquiry experiential activities, supporting teachers' professional development by providing various training and necessary materials for teaching and learning, and offering a venue for science experiential learning for the general public. The Convergence Science Education Center consists of the main center, Namsan Branch, Eastern Branch, and Southern Branch. The Southern Branch is responsible for ecological experience and scientific inquiry education targeting kindergarten, elementary, and secondary school students in the southern region of Seoul, gifted education in mathematics and science, and various teacher job training to support school classes. It comprises a children's science play classroom, a natural history exhibition room, a chemistry lab, a life science lab, an earth science lab, a physics lab, elementary and secondary invention classrooms, and a nature observation garden. Additionally, it operates various science programs such as a children's science play classroom, a science creativity classroom, a Saturday family ecological environment classroom, and special programs.
