Jungam-ri Son Dubu Jip

Jungam-ri Son Dubu Jip is a tofu specialty restaurant located in Jungam-ri, Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi-do. With a 40-year tradition, they make tofu by hand every dawn using domestic soybeans. It has been famous as a tofu restaurant since the days when tofu was made and eaten at home, and it became a local landmark beyond the neighborhood. After converting a private house into a restaurant, it officially opened as a handmade tofu restaurant. The signature dish, dubu jjigae (tofu stew), is loaded with thinly sliced tofu, and the spicy, refreshing, and clean broth harmonizes well with the tofu. The grilled tofu cooked in perilla oil adds a nutty flavor to the tofu's own richness, enhanced by the aroma of perilla oil. The handmade dumplings are also popular, not only for their generous portions but also for the subtle perilla oil fragrance and the spicy kimchi dumplings that stimulate the appetite with their savory taste.
