Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
This is an open intermediary space that supports artists' creative work and facilitates communication between artists and artists, as well as between artists and citizens. The Artist's House is a building that was used as the main building of Keijō Imperial University during the Japanese colonial period and is designated as Historic Site No. 278. The design was done by Park Gil-ryong (1898–1943), a pioneer in Korean architecture. It was used as the headquarters of the Arts Council Korea before being transformed into the Artist's House in December 2010. Currently, the first floor houses the Arko Young Artist Lab for young artists, the second floor is the Artist's House Lounge where anyone can rest and experience drip coffee, and the third floor is a rental space for artistic creation.
