Mapo Haejang

Mapo Haejang is a hangover soup specialty restaurant located on a main road in Omokcheon-dong, Suwon. It is easy to find thanks to its large sign on a single-story gray building. There is a spacious parking lot in front of the building, making parking convenient. The building is clean, and the interior is neat and stylish. The representative menu items are hangover soup, yanggop-tang (beef tripe soup), naejang-tang (beef offal soup), and galbi-tang (beef rib soup). Upon request, additional items such as blood sausage, broth, and rice are provided free of charge. If two or more people visit, the gopchang-jeongol (beef tripe hot pot) is also recommended. It features a rich broth with plenty of vegetables and ingredients, making it enjoyable to eat while it simmers, and it is finished with udon noodles and fried rice. As expected from a famous hangover soup restaurant, the kimchi and cubed radish kimchi served as basic side dishes are also delicious. Upon request, takeout in an uncooked state is also available. It opens early even on weekdays, so many people visit for hangover relief or breakfast before work.
