Myeongmul Ongsimi Memil Kalguksu

Myeongmul Ongsimi Memil Kalguksu is a specialty restaurant for ongsimi (potato dumpling soup) and memil kalguksu (buckwheat noodle soup), located at the end of Mokhyeon-dong near Tanbeol-dong, Gwangju-si. There is a spacious parking lot in front of the restaurant, making parking convenient. The restaurant is an old establishment with a somewhat shabby exterior and a noticeable orange signboard; the interior features clean, low-rise seating. Upon ordering, barley rice, young radish kimchi, and radish water kimchi are served immediately, allowing for a light meal while the food is being prepared. The restaurant closes early when ingredients run out, so a phone call is necessary for late afternoon visits. There is often a wait, and a separate waiting area is prepared next to the entrance. All menu items except for red bean ong simi, which is packaged uncooked, are cooked and then packaged.
