Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Unggol was originally named 'Onggol' because it was a region where Onggi (Korean traditional earthenware) was made, but over time it changed to Unggol for easier pronunciation. This Gonjiam Unggol has been in operation since 1997. The current owner inherited the culinary philosophy from his father and makes aged kimchi stewed with domestic refrigerated pork spare ribs, using kimchi aged in Onggi jars.
