Chingu

Located near Pungsan Station in Ilsandong-gu, Gyeonggi-do, Chingu is famous for its pork ribs. The interior is decorated with cute plants and a retro sensibility. Meat is grilled on a briquette stove placed in the center of a round table, and various side dishes such as doenjang jjigae, aged kimchi, perilla leaf jangajji, green onion salad, cabbage pickles, godulbaegi, and ssam vegetables are served. The signature menu item is the beef platter, which includes beef belly, skirt steak, and rib meat when ordered. Another popular menu item, the pork ribs, are grilled over briquette fire, absorbing the charcoal flavor and becoming even more delicious. For a meal menu, there is bibim guksu, which features chewy noodles with a non-salty, spicy yet sweet taste, making it a great finishing dish.
