Gapo Old Eel House

A specialty eel restaurant that opened in 1977, grilling eel with seasoning or salt. Originally the Old Eel House, it expanded and moved to a new building, so you can dine in the building across the street. The seasoned grilled eel is pre-cooked, making it easy to eat, and the bones are not chewy, allowing for a delicious meal. Placing onion on a perilla leaf, adding eel and ginger, creates a festival of flavors in your mouth. The side dishes, including fried eel bones, pickled onions, and fresh kimchi, are also delicious. After the meal, you can finish with eel noodles or eel soup. If you visit on a birthday or anniversary, you can enjoy an eel cake with a candle on top.
