Ganwolsan Recreation Forest

Located on the northeastern foot of Ganwolsan Mountain (elevation 1,083m), often called the Alps of Yeongnam, this forest features clear valleys and dense pine forests, with azaleas, maple trees, and other mixed woods creating spectacular scenery. Along the hiking trail leading to the summit, there is an observatory offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, and the forest paths and walking trails throughout the woods are ideal for forest bathing.

The recreation forest offers accommodations, a campfire site, a water play area, a forest bathing area, an outdoor classroom, and a children's playground, as well as 30 courses of forest fitness equipment and outdoor leisure facilities including a children's swimming pool, an adult swimming pool, and a foot volleyball court. As a privately operated recreation forest, Ganwolsan Natural Recreation Forest provides more personalized services compared to those run by local governments, and it operates year-round without holidays, allowing visitors to stay without time constraints and enjoy healing. With a training hall that can accommodate up to 200 people, it is widely used for corporate training and education, university orientation and MTs, large-scale group events for churches, kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools, and social gatherings.
