Why travelers stop here
Gapsa Valley is a valley located on the northwest side of Mount Gyeryong in Gyeryongsan National Park, in the direction of Gapsa Temple. It is known as the most outstanding among the seven valleys in Gyeryongsan National Park, and it is cool enough to feel refreshing even in midsummer. The entrance road to Gapsa, called '5-ri Forest,' turns vividly red with autumn foliage, creating a spectacular view. At the temple entrance, there are many cultural resources such as iron flagpole supports, stupas, and bronze bells. The section from Yongchu Bridge to Yongmun Falls offers a trail adjacent to the valley, adding enjoyment to the hike.
