Songwol-gwan

Songwol-gwan is a tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patty) specialty restaurant located in Dongducheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. The tteokgalbi here is made exclusively from beef short ribs, without mixing any other parts. The process involves removing fat from large short rib pieces, separating the bones and meat, mincing the meat, and mixing it with garlic, green onions, sesame salt, sugar, and salt. The mixture is then shaped thickly around a piece of rib bone and grilled over charcoal fire, resulting in delicious tteokgalbi. The tteokgalbi is juicy, chewy, and enhanced with a smoky flavor, offering a rich taste. Buckwheat cold noodles and tteokgalbi lunchboxes served alongside the tteokgalbi are also specialties of this restaurant.
