Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
As a reservoir of Gyeryongsan (Mt. Gyeryong) in Gongju-si, Chungcheongnam-do, one of Korea's representative famous mountains, it is connected by clear water and a trail around the reservoir, serving as the entrance to Gyeryongsan Gapsa Temple along the ginkgo tree path to Gapsa Temple. Uniquely, unlike the nearby Geumgang River or other streams, there is no fog formation here, so after passing through the fog of the Geumgang River and entering Gyeryong Reservoir, the fog clears, offering fresh air and a panoramic view of Cheonhwangbong, Gwaneumbong, and Yeoncheonbong peaks of Gyeryongsan, providing a naturally blessed environment.
