Seoul Light Han River Light Island Festival is Korea's largest-scale festival of light, laser, and media art, propelling Seoul toward becoming a global media art city. This festival, held annually across the six islands of the Han River, is a representative art festival of Seoul that connects the city and nature, technology and art.
The 2025 Light Island Festival, now in its third year, will take place under the theme 'Spectra of Light' for 10 days from Friday, October 3 to Sunday, October 12 at Ttukseom Han River Park. On the sentiment of Ttukseom, which retains an amusement park, the diverse wavelengths of light created by art and technology unfold on the autumn night Han River. The festival features a 'Laser Art' exhibition that expands the senses like various light wavelengths, a visual running program 'Light Run' where citizens become light themselves to complete a giant band of light, and 'Light Island Lecture' connecting technology and art. A feast of light unfolds on the Han River in the autumn night.
