Mountain Lake Village

After arduously crossing the road that winds deep into the mountains from Hwacheon, Dongchon Village appears, embracing the magnificent scenery of Paro Lake. Wherever you go in the village, the wide and refreshing view of Paro Lake is always visible, making it a friendly and tranquil lakeside village. Dongchon Village is a tourist destination with good conditions, with Paro Lake in front and a deep mountain behind where tigers are said to have appeared. At the same time, it is a farm stay village where clear freshwater fish are caught and the mountains are full of wild greens, offering a variety of rural experiences. On the mountain behind Dongchon Village, there is a charcoal kiln experience center where visiting families can make and grill native black pork themselves. Located deep on the mountainside with two ondol rooms, the charcoal kiln experience center allows visitors to observe the process of making charcoal and is one of the few mountain accommodations where you can greet the morning in the mountains.
