Why travelers stop here
A small beach located along National Route 7, about 30 km south of Samcheok. The beach is about 100 meters long, small and cozy, with a sandy shore of about 100 meters and many rocky outcrops beyond. The water is shallow and the waves are gentle, making it a good beach to visit with children, and it is popular with family tourists. It is known as a snorkeling spot and a place for breakwater fishing. It is the only area on the east coast with a folk village dedicated to phallic worship, and Sinnam Village, where Haesindang is located, is that place. In Haesindang Park near Sinnam Beach, there are Haesindang, a fishing village folk museum, park walking trails, and a phallic sculpture park that evokes humorous laughter, allowing visitors to enjoy both swimming and nature tourism. Haesindang is a place with a poignant story of a maiden and a young man, along with a phallic legend.
