It is located about 35 km south of Samcheok city center. It is a small beach with a white sand beach 200m long and 50m wide. Behind it, Sobongsanjeong, Hwabanggul Cave (a famous coastal cave), and Sogongdaebi rock formation create spectacular scenery, and Imwoncheon Stream flows alongside, providing good freshwater conditions. Nearby is the nationally famous Imwon Port, where you can enjoy fresh raw fish at low prices. In addition to raw fish, a variety of dried seafood including squid, skate, and flounder is sold, making it easy to purchase for ancestral rites and other purposes. The breakwater at Imwon Port has the nation's best black porgy fishing spot, attracting many anglers who come to enjoy sea fishing. The water is clear and clean, and the depth is shallow, making it suitable for snorkeling. Facilities such as restrooms, showers, and a large parking lot are relatively well-equipped, so many people also come to enjoy camping. Nearby are Surobuin Heonhwa Park and Sunrise Theme Park, so it is recommended to visit these attractions along with Samcheok's sea.
