Why travelers stop here
Hoengseong Bam Duduk Village is a clean village with good mountains and clear water, and has been called Bam Duduk Village since ancient times because of its many chestnut trees. The Seomgang River flows in front of the village, and with Bangok Reservoir, Cheongnyong Reservoir, and Saraeul Reservoir, it produces delicious rice. Specialized crops include guksu pumpkin, chestnut pumpkin, zucchini, and capsule cucumber. In addition to food, the village holds various cultural events such as Jisinbapgi (ground spirit treading), Sansinje (mountain god ritual), and scarecrow festivals.
