Why travelers stop here
Myeongdal-ri Mountain Village in Seojong-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do is located on the ridges of Tongbang Mountain, Jungmi Mountain, and Yumyeong Mountain. It is a mountain village created by utilizing the beautiful Jatnamu Valley and a closed school. Surrounded by a pine nut tree forest that emits large amounts of phytoncide effective against atopic dermatitis, it is considered an optimal place for atopic treatment. For this reason, it has also been used as an atopic treatment center. Inside the building, there are atopic experience halls, educational halls, and healing rooms using eco-friendly materials such as loess and cypress, along with a restaurant offering organic meals. In the forest school built on the site of the former Myeongdal Branch School, a forest experience school operates where about 40 children can experience nature and the forest at a time, and the loess accommodation facilities are used as lodging for experience tourists.
