Riverside Retention Basin

Yeongwol Riverside Retention Basin is an ecological and cultural tourist site created to prevent flood damage and flooding. Facilities such as a cloud bridge and a promotional hall, as well as an ecological park, bicycle paths, and a 5.2 km walking trail, have been established. Yeongwol County has linked the riverside retention basin with nearby tourist attractions such as Cheongnyeongpo and Jangneung, developing it as the 'King's Garden.' The themed walking trails and bicycle paths are ideal for enjoying the surrounding scenery with flowing water. In addition, various experiential facilities such as an ecological waterfront park, a campsite, and a water play area are available, making it a great place for the whole family to travel.
