Why travelers stop here
Hadomun Ssamchae Village, located at the southern end of Daepo-dong, Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do, was renamed Daepo-dong in 1998 when the existing Daepo, Domun, and Seorak were merged. It is a typical rural village with 114 households and 273 residents, where field farming and rice farming are appropriately combined. In the past, agricultural income was the only source of income, but now, with Seoraksan tourism and east coast live fish tourism becoming active, they sell agricultural products on-site to visiting tourists and cultivate lettuce, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, and more. In particular, they cultivate clean ssam vegetables and supply them to nearby restaurants, improving farm household income. Since July 2005, they have been operating local restaurants, accommodations such as pensions in the village, and various rural experience programs, providing tourists visiting the village with things to see, eat, and enjoy, thereby creating new farm household income. At the entrance of Domun Ssamchae Village, there are Seorak Sunrise Park and Seorak Port, where you can enjoy sea trips and spectacular sunrises in all four seasons, as well as fresh raw fish.
