Uiamho Bicycle Path (Bomnaegil Course)

Chuncheon is a great city for cycling, offering various bicycle courses, among which the Uiamho Bicycle Path, circling Uiamho Lake, is highly popular. The entire course is about 30km long, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Uiamho Lake throughout the ride. As it is a circular course, there is no fixed starting or ending point, but if you need to rent a bicycle, you can start from Chuncheon Station or Gongjicheon, where rental shops are available. The path is relatively gentle with many places to rest along the way, making it accessible to people of all ages and genders. It passes by many of Chuncheon's attractions, including Gongjicheon, Soyanggang Skywalk, Soyanggang Maiden Statue, Soyang 2 Bridge, Yukrim Land, Chuncheon Puppet Theater, Animation Museum, Samaksan Mountain, Uiam Skywalk, and KT&G Sangsang Madang Chuncheon. In spring, you can also enjoy beautiful cherry blossom paths. To circle Uiamho Lake, use Sinmae Bridge near Chuncheon Puppet Theater and Sinyeon Bridge near Uiam Dam. Some sections of the Uiamho Bicycle Path correspond to Bomnaegil Course 4 (Uiamho Nadeulgil) of the Chuncheon walking trails. Bomnaegil Course 4 is about 14.2km long, from Literature Park in Seomyeon to Bonghwangdae via Sinmae Bridge, Soyang 2 Bridge, Gongjicheon, and Children's Hall, and it is also possible to circle Uiamho Lake along the Uiamho Bicycle Path. Many sections do not separate walking paths from bicycle paths, so users should be cautious of each other. In winter, some sections may be closed due to safety concerns, so check in advance.
