Baegun Lake

This is an artificial lake completed in 1953, located near Lotte Premium Outlet Time Villas. Situated on flat land at the meeting point of Cheonggyesan, Baegunsan, and Moraksan mountains, which surround it like a folding screen, it boasts beautiful scenery and is a popular spot for tourists from the Seoul metropolitan area, with many restaurants and cafes gathered here. The lake was originally created to supply agricultural water, but due to industrialization and urbanization, farmland disappeared, and it has now become a lake.

Baegun Lake features a 3km deck walking trail, offering a quiet and peaceful environment for leisurely walks and water-gazing. In 2023, the Moomin Park opened within the lake area, featuring a playground and a 6m-diameter art ball that displays colorful videos every evening, making it a great place for families with children. Additionally, there is a well-organized large parking lot, a scenic lake loop road for driving, a dock for motorboats and pedal boats, and various restaurants and live cafes along the lakeside, making it an ideal destination for family outings and couple dates. The Uiwang Baegun Lake Festival is held every September.
