Why travelers stop here
Boseong Tea Field Observatory is an observatory located at the cafe parking lot midway on the road from Daehan Dawon to Yulpo Beach, offering an immediate view of the green tea fields. It provides a panoramic view of the vast tea fields against the backdrop of Yeongcheon Reservoir, with small islands floating on the sea, Jeam Mountain, and Illim Mountain famous for its azalea fields unfolding like a painting before your eyes. At Daehan Dawon, you have to climb to the top to see the sea, but here you can stop your car and see the green tea fields at a glance, offering excellent accessibility. It is free to visit, and a walking path is built to allow you to descend into the green tea fields for a stroll. Next to the observatory, there is a cafe (The World Where Green Leaves Unfold) where you can enjoy green tea and green tea ice cream, and take photos at the photo zone. The paths between the continuously curving tea fields and the tall trees create an exotic landscape, with the mountains and reservoir in the background adding to the exotic atmosphere. It is a 5-minute drive from Daehan Dawon, making it a good option for those who have difficulty visiting Daehan Dawon due to time or health reasons to briefly visit this observatory and heal while viewing the green tea fields.
