Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Seoul Cheonggwa, located at the Agricultural and Marine Products Wholesale Market in Garak-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, was founded in March 1939 during the Japanese colonial period as 'Gyeongseong Central Fruit and Vegetable Corporation' at Namdaemun Market in Seoul. It is the nation's premier agricultural product (vegetables, fruits) wholesale market corporation with over 80 years of history. As goods are primarily distributed through auctions, only some items are available for general consumers to purchase, but there are people who visit to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. Especially during holidays, many people come to purchase fruits for gifts. It is located 200 meters to the left of Exit 3 of Garak Market Station on Subway Lines 3 and 8.
