Jangkhaljip

Jangkhaljip is located near Haenuri Middle School, Exit 3 of Seokchon Gobun Station on Line 9. The storefront is not large, but the red sign is eye-catching. Popular menu items include jangkhalguksu (spicy kalguksu) with a rich broth and perilla seed kalguksu with potatoes. The jangkhalguksu can be ordered in different spice levels, with level 3 being less spicy and level 1 being very spicy. It is made with a gochujang (red chili paste) base, kalguksu noodles, eggs, and potatoes, topped with seaweed flakes. The water dumplings are generously filled and go well with side dishes, while the seasoned pollack salad has a sweet and sour taste and pairs nicely with rice balls or kalguksu. Nearby attractions include the Seoul Seokchon-dong Ancient Tombs, Songpa Book Museum, and Tancheon Reservoir, making it a good spot for a light walk after a meal.
