Cheonggye Lighting Fixture Market

Cheonggye Lighting Fixture Market is a cluster of about 300 specialized lighting stores located around Euljiro 3-4ga Station and the Sewoon Cheonggye shopping district. It is often called a lighting paradise due to the wide variety of lighting products on display and for sale. The market began to form at the end of Euljiro, an area known for building material specialty stores, and in the 1960s it was the only lighting market in Seoul, distributing lighting products nationwide.

From wholesale bulb shops of just a few pyeong in size to comprehensive lighting stores with exhibition halls spanning dozens of pyeong, there are about 300 establishments in total. Among them, around 20 stores deal exclusively in specialty lighting. These mainly sell lighting fixtures used in broadcast studios, theater stages, store displays, and entertainment venues.
