Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Dobongsan, the northernmost mountain in Seoul bordering Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi-do, features valleys such as Yong-eocheon Valley, Munsadong Valley, and Wondobong Valley beneath its high peaks of Jauunbong (740m) and Obongsan (683m). At the last ridge descending from the mountain peak to the village, there is a long valley called Dobong Valley or Musugol Valley. Musugol Valley is a place where you can encounter many rocks and streams. It is a popular valley loved by those seeking to escape the summer heat in the mountains and water. However, as it is located within Bukhansan National Park, access is only temporarily permitted. Additionally, activities such as camping, cooking, smoking, bringing pets, carrying noise-generating items, and using parasols, hammocks, and folding chairs are prohibited or restricted.
