Seoul Changpowon

Seoul Changpowon is an ecological park themed around irises, one of the world's four major flowers. It is composed of 12 themed gardens, including the Iris Garden, Wetland Garden, Flower Garden, and Medicinal Plant Garden. In the Iris Garden, 300,000 irises of 130 different species, such as yellow iris, rabbit iris, twisted iris, and blackberry lily, are planted over an area of approximately 15,000㎡, allowing visitors to enjoy a variety of irises. Irises bloom annually from May to June, and when not in bloom, their leaves resemble orchids, making them ornamental. The Wetland Garden features observation decks for observing various aquatic plants and wetland organisms. In the Flower Garden, colorful flowers such as lilies and tulips bloom seasonally. The Medicinal Plant Garden has 130,000 plants of 70 species, allowing visitors to observe medicinal plants produced in Korea. Additionally, there is a Succession Observation Garden where visitors can observe the process of vegetation change in colonies, as well as forest rest areas, providing ecological education and leisure and relaxation spaces for residents. It is located between Dobongsan and Suraksan, 125m from Exit 2 of Dobongsan Station on Seoul Subway Line 1 and Line 7. Visitors can enjoy nature and collect stamps while walking along the Dobongsan Dulle-gil trail.
