Pildong Myeonok

Pildong Myeonok is a place that serves Pyongyang naengmyeon (cold noodles). Generally, food from the northern regions has a mild and clean taste, and Pyongyang naengmyeon, unlike Hamheung naengmyeon, is characterized by its bland flavor. It may taste somewhat unfamiliar to those accustomed to chemical seasonings, but it is an incomparable delicacy for those who prefer non-irritating and clean flavors. Mandu (dumplings), pyeonyuk (sliced boiled pork), and suyuk (boiled pork slices) that should be eaten with naengmyeon are also other specialties here. Pyongyang-style mandu are generously sized with a filling that is excellent, and pyeonyuk is best enjoyed by boiling high-quality meat and lightly dipping it in salted shrimp seasoning. The pyeonyuk is also thick and tender.
