Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Since opening in 1976, this place has been consistently loved for its red bean porridge. The interior is as modest as the exterior, reminiscent of a Korean tea house from the 1970s. However, it is this humble atmosphere that keeps people coming back. And they are drawn by the unforgettable taste of the red bean porridge. The owner originally learned about herbal teas and opened the establishment as a tea house. Then, to cater to younger customers, they created red bean porridge. Now, the red bean porridge is more popular than the herbal teas. In Samcheong-dong, it is known as 'the second best place for red bean porridge.' The red bean porridge is also enjoyable as a light meal replacement. This is because a bowl of red bean porridge fills you up as if you had eaten a meal. The rich red bean porridge is topped with chestnuts, ginkgo nuts, and red beans, and contains chewy rice cakes, so it is also nutritionally complete.
