Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village

Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village is a tourist attraction in Incheon, decorated with fairy tale themes in every corner of the neighborhood. Songwol-dong was once called Solgol or Songsan due to the abundance of pine trees, but later came to be called Songwol-dong because of the moon seen through the pine forest, which was considered picturesque. With the opening of Incheon Port in 1883, foreigners including Germans began to reside here, forming a wealthy neighborhood. Eleven themed paths such as Dorothy Street, Little Red Riding Hood Street, and Traditional Fairy Tale Street have been created, and tourists continuously visit the village to see them. Further into the village, there is a mural street decorated with familiar traditional fairy tales.
