Why travelers stop here
Sipripo Beach is located at the northern tip of Yeongheung Island. The beach features a 900-pyeong forest of several-hundred-year-old hornbeam trees, which serve as shade trees to cool the heat in summer and as windbreaks in winter. As the only coastal area with old trees nationwide, Ongjin County actively protects this area. The beach, composed of about 4 km of coarse sand and gravel mixed with 1 km of fine sand, blends well with the surrounding scenery, creating a beautiful landscape. At night, the lights of Incheon Airport are visible, offering a spectacular view. The camping ground is set up on both sides of the hornbeam forest at Sipripo Beach, near the public parking lot on the beach side. The campsites, previously scattered haphazardly under the hornbeam trees, have been reorganized into a separate camping area by the beach. At the top, there are 9 pergolas with wooden decks, and next to them, block decks are installed.
