Daerim-dong Chinatown

Daerim-dong Chinatown is a densely populated residential-type Chinatown formed in the early 2000s as ethnic Chinese from China settled around Daerim Station. Unlike traditional Chinatowns centered around open ports in Incheon or Busan, it has a unique form closely connected to daily life. About 40% of the shops in Daerim Central Market are run by ethnic Chinese from China, and nearby convenience facilities such as banks, accommodations, and restaurants are concentrated for them. In the market, you can enjoy various Chinese dishes from traditional Chinese food like malatang and hot pot to fusion cuisine, and street food with Chinese ingredients and spices is also sold.
