Hangang Culture Center

Hangang Culture Center is a local multi-cultural space near Gangcheon Island in Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi-do, that promotes the natural, ecological, and cultural value of the Han River. Overlooking the South Han River, it offers various cultural experiences connecting nature and people through exhibitions, education, hands-on activities, and citizen participation programs. It operates a permanent exhibition themed on the four seasons of the Han River ecology, special exhibitions co-created by local artists and citizens, ecological and environmental experience programs for children and families, and a citizen academy blending culture, arts, and education—all open to everyone. The exterior of Hangang Culture Center is shaped like a white heron, the city bird of Yeoju, featuring a unique architectural design that reflects local symbolism.
