Why travelers stop here
Hwaseong Gungpyeong Fishing Village Experience & Recreation Village is a clean and quiet fishing village where you can enjoy both relaxation and fishing village experiences. The place name [Gungpyeong-ri] originates from the fact that there was a lot of land managed by the palace (state) in the past, so it was called [Gungpyeong] or [Gungdeul], indicating excellent natural conditions.
The village's fishing rights area, extending to the wide tidal flats in front of Gungpyeong, has a large tidal range and wide, gently sloping reclaimed land, making it rich in coastal organisms such as short-necked clams, razor clams, oysters, clams, octopus, and mud crabs, making tidal flat experiences easy. In addition, the Gungpyeong Port sea fishing spot called [Fishing Pier] is becoming a new attraction in Gungpyeong, with a long wooden deck laid over the sea, giving the feeling of sea fishing. Gungpyeong Coast is a naturally blessed tourist destination where pine trees and sandy beaches harmonize, with a 2km-long, 50m-wide white sand beach and over 5,000 pine trees, reminiscent of a classical Oriental painting. In particular, the sunset view of the blazing sun falling into the West Sea creates a spectacular landscape that evokes awe in viewers.
